Does any one know about the capture care -- ATI DV Wonder? Is the capture better than Pinnacle Studio DV or SIIG IEEE 1394? Please advise? I plan to buy a DV capture card for importing vedio from DV camcorder.
Thanks,
Kinlun Yu

ATI and ATI VE is pure crap, I bough an ATI, nothing worked, so I returned it and I bough Pinnacle dc10plus and It's worth the money or you can buy hauppauge product (Win TV) it also good and cheap too (around 70 USD).
Good luck!

I have had great success with my ATI DV Wonder. Plus, it came with a full version of Ulead VideoStudio 5.0, which will split at the 2 gig mark (I haven't tested this yet). All for only $50. Worked perfectly with the updated MS drivers. This other poster seems to be talking about the TV cards and not the DV cards.
Thanks,

I don't have a ATI DV, but I do have a Pinnicle Studio DV and it works great. I would highly recommend the Pinnicle hardware. I do have an ATI AIW 128 and I do like it but I have to admit that it seems that ATI goes out of its way to make crappy drivers.
I really don't know if the dv card really makes that much of a difference since its only providing a way to transfer large chunks of data to your computer. As long as it can keep up the datarate and doesn't die, it should be ok.
