hi all just a bit a little lost i got my self a pinnacle stu 8 but like to transfur a film on to disc ie 4.7gb but my film is bigger then 4.7gb ? how to make it fit !!! or how to trasfur it too instant pinnacle dvd dvd

take a look on the left edge of your screen, you'll see a How To section called DVD RIP. Check in that section, the guides there should get you started.
