  1. Hello:
I am having a big problem losing audio on authored DVD's.I have tried various apps but all are giving me grief.I am also new to DVD but have a lot of experience with audio and video.
I loaded up "vobrator" and used this to look at the vob files I am creating and I don't see any audio so I know that is why my DVD's are silent. But if I use DVD Architech I see a flag there for audio and I just discovered this 5 minutes ago.It appears that this app may work for me.Still it would be nice to know why I am having problems with other apps so here is the deal.
1.I tried a lot of apps like tmpg dvd author, dvdit pe,ulead dvd workshop but all create a silent dvd.
2.i have tried 3 ways of getting files into an authoring program like avi, quicktime reference file, or capturing to mpeg if the app supported that feature.
3.in all the apps i did get a preview with sound
4.all the source files have sound so they were good.
5.i studied the options and menus of the apps i tried and it looked like i was doing things right
When i tried to just make a dvd of one movie in dvd architech i used a 15 sec. avi and let it convert it.i then could hear it and i can see it used ac3 audio...it finally just might work.
If anyone can help me out i would like to know how audio disappears from an authored dvd....or an answer to my question...or you may have heard of similar problems authoring and losing yer audio.

    thanks in advance
