I have my first commercial (well paid for) video project, and I am having sync problems converting an avi to MPEG-2 with tmpgenc.
I can convert it to MPEG-1 using the PAL template OK but when I use the DVD NTSC template and change the parameters for PAL the audio plays at a lower pitch (and slower) - hence drifting out of sync with the video.
I have tried using the audio from a separate wav file but still gives the same result.
Can anyone help ? (the MPEG-1 quality isn't good enough for this job)

The DVD template uses an audio sampling rate of 48Khz instead of 44.1Khz. This may cause problems if you the audio you're encoding is not 48Khz. It also can cause problems on some devices, such as soundcards that can't handle 48Khz.

Thanks for the reply - However
I have checked all of the Audio sample rates, and they are all @ 48k throughout.
Also the video seems to jump slightly (as if my CPU cannot keep up with the stream) but it plays DVDs fine.
p.s.
I am using a DXR3 and Creative's DVD software for playback.
