You need to install a codec for Windows Media Player to play the mpeg audio. WinDVD has its own built in ones and will not "share" with Windows Media player. Check the tools section here for mpeg and DVD codecs you can install for Windows Media Player. But to tell you the truth, you're better off using WinDVD. It is more reliable and has more features anyway.

ya i'll try that, its just that most of my friends(who im tryin to share the file with) dont have WinDvd, just WMP

What you need is Moonlight Odio Dekoda for mpeg audio and mp3 files. It is free but I cannot remember exactly how I got it. You might try the Elecard website, because I think it is by Elecard. This is I believe separate from the the Elecard mpeg (video) decoder, which used to crash my WMP.
