Apex DVD Player

I've been reading conflicting reports in the forum about whether the Apex AD-1100W DVD player actually plays DVD-R's. Can anybody confirm without a doubt that this it plays DVD-R's, or if perhaps it plays some and not others.

Yes, it not only plays -R and +R
it works fine with DVD rewiteables of both kinds..
It also plays DVD-R AUTHORING MEDIA..

and, If you make a DVD compliant MPG and put it on a CD, it will show as if it was an MP3 in the 1100 , and when you click on it it goes full screen like a DVD

a great machine that plays anything you throw at it, and well!

but:
some people on this forum on your machine that say (at least in windows)
there are burn methods that will make the -R disc unplayable in the 1100.
SO LEARN TO AVOID this here.....

Read your response too fast and caught the above quote on a reread. Not sure what you mean by "...on this forum on your machine that say (at least in windows)" since this is a Mac only forum. I'm running a G4 1.42 dual. Why wouyld Windows apply at all?
