I am trying to encode episodes from DVD-R.

I was encoding each episode with DVD2Avi and then encoding to VCD mpeg with TMPGENC.

Then, TMPGENC just stopped recognizing the DVD2AVI file. It acts like they aren't there. When I select "all files" and try to use one of the DVD2AVI files, I get a message saying the file is unsupported.

I have reinstalled Tmpgenc several times.

Anybody have any idea what the hell is going on here?!

What DVD2AVI outputs are you using? D2V Project Files frameserved as AVI, or pure AVI files?

  3. I tell everyone this but if you want a simple conversion with no probs or error messages go for Eazy Vcd from the tools menu.

Actually, I figured out my problem shortly after posting. The mpeg2 encoding license has expired.

I will definitely check out Easy vcd. I'f it's better (quality) and easier than TMPGEnc, I will switch appz.

    Thanks

  5. I have the same problem, but it's wierd - one time it will recognize d2v files and then pfffff, file unsupported error. How could you tell the encoding license was expired? I've altered the environmental settings and that doesn't help either.

    Any suggestions anyone?
