svcdDVD with selectable subtitles?

is it posible to make a svcdDVD with selectable subtitles, an if so how?i have been experimenting with dvdmaestro and dvdpatcher.I use DVDpatcher to patch the header then DVDmaestro to author the dvd whith the subs i have dowloaded fron the web, but i get a error mesage something to to with the timecode of the subs not matching.[/list]

Try with a short "correct" dvd video sample(make with tmpgenc or some other dvd encoder) and see if you get same error, if so it is something else that is wrong than the svcd mpeg.

I solved the problem with importing the subs, i used a prog to convert the subs to a nother format then imported them to DVDmaestro.Then i compiled the Vobs and patch them back to svcd resolution with DVDpatcher.When i playback the DVD, the subs are shifted to the right.Halfe of them are outside the screen.I think that when i patched the Vobs back to svcd resolution the subpicture whas not altered.
