    8) Posted earlier about my new Panashiba player, I guess no one has heard of them after all. Went home for lunch and as a thought copied all my Mpeg films (1 & 2) onto a DVD-R, (one of the brands my Sony would not play). These were burned using Nreo as a data DVD with no additional formating. All films played perfectly. this means that with a 80m vcd quality film (pretty good for home movies) I can now get nearly 8 hours of film onto a single DVD. That's 1 complete series of 'Friends' - boy oh boy will the wife be pleased.

Does anybody else know of a machine that is this compatable?? so far it has played everything I have tried. The box says it uses Hitachi technology so they should have something similar.

Many players that can play mpeg1/2 iso files(play video files that not have been authored to dvd) supports this.

https://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers.php?DVDname=&Search=Search&mpegiso=1&Submit2=Search (some may only support mpeg files on cd-r/w and not dvd-r/w...and be sure to read the user comments)
