  4. humm.. Copy2DVD dont allow me to burn at 2X (same for the pioneer of my friend), but Nero DOES burn Princo disk at 2X, and BTW, I have lot of problem with Princo disk, don't buy any other ! ritek work fine and cost 20$ more for 100 DVDr. not worth the trouble

I use Firmware A108 on my LG

I use this drive for 2+mths, came with firmware A105, now has A108.

I had no problem whatsoever with any brand -R blanks (including cheapest princos & riteks, and I believe I tested every brand available in Canada). Im still waiting for my first coaster with this drive (my previous drive sony dru500 made one on first day )
So AFAIK there is no -R media compatibility issues here.

The only trouble I have with this drive it doesnt recognise Maxell DVD-RW that actually came with this drive in its box... but it does read/write all other -RW brands I tried with it so far (optodisc, pioneer, orange case sony, even probly same maxell in slightly different case). I thought fmware upgrade will help, but it didn't :/

the maxell DVD-RW that came with work in mine. Maybe a bad media. but RW is a bit too slow so I use Princo disk if I have test to make and -RAM for backup.

I have no coaster so far too. near 20 burn in 1 month

I've had problems with the computer locking at exactly 15 seconds into a burn when using Infiniti DVDs and Nero (5.5.10.28). DVD-RWs are ok though.

However, I've since tried CopyToDVD and that's worked fine, even copying at 2x.

Mine came with 107 firmware, upgraded to 108.

    probably a windows Problem

Everytime I put a DVD-RAM or DVD-RW (or even CD-RW or a Compact flash reader) Windows Reboot.. will need to format
