    Is there a way to change the bitrate settings when converting to VCD?

    Also, when I try to convert a divx to SVCD the pricture freezes about 20 min's in. I have tried several videos and the all do the same.

    make up your own templates if you want non standard vcd's .

    as for the second question - check the reader codecs listed in options -- turn off one of the avi readers (should be two listed there) , cant remember which one gets turned off (i think its the internal avi reader and leave the direct show reader)
