    i've been using DVDFab to convert a movie from a DVD rip (VOB) to AVI. every time i run DVDFab, it runs perfectly and then stops at around 65% (the first hour of the movie)

    anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?

    Are you converting directly from the dvd drive? Maybe try first copy the hdd to the drive with dvdfab and then convert. Or try convert to avi with autogk or fairuse wizard instead.

    And I'm moving you to our dvd to avi forum.

    i already ripped the DVD to my harddrive, working from the VOBs for just the movie itself. i have plenty of space free on my HD (~12 gigs)
