I want to burn my divx into a VCD
i'm using VirtualDub and TMPGEnc and I don't know what template to load in TMPGEng as its not PAL NTSC or NTSCFilm
should I change the frame rate? if I should then how and to what frame rate? and how do I prevent audio/video desynchronization
or is there a better way to go without changing the frame rate?

load the template of the type of tv you have. if you are in a pal country load pal if you have a ntsc tv load ntsc. the framerate of your source 24 will be changed to what is compatible with your viewer. that is the whole point of tmpgenc.

If you want to avoid jerky motion check "Do Not do Framerate Convertion" in the advanced tabs. you will have to adjust the audio accordingly.
