This might be more related to Digital Camera, but I can not find answers from the Digital Camera forums, so I decide to ask the question here. Maybe the experts here can help me out ...

When I am travelling with my digital camera, how can I store the photos from memory card (256M) to my hard disk (80G) without my notebook?

I understand that I can either buy more memory cards or ask the photo store to burn the files as CD now, but I'm looking for a better way to archive my photos onto the hard disk if still possible.

    Thanks a lot.

not sure about this one, but i know flash cards are compatible with normal IDE using a simple convertor. so all you'd need do was plug a "fake" flashcard attached to an ide convertor into your hard drive (which would also need a power supply) and voila. however, unless you've got 2 flash slots or the camera has internal memory, you'll have to record the images straight to the hard drive.
oh, and if it's a laptop hard drive you will first need the IDE ocnvertor, and then a standard IDE to slim IDE convertor.
the slim to standard convertor can be found here http://www.ultim8pc.co.uk/index.asp?section=products&idd=5

and the flash to ide convertor here
