No Sound in Pinnacle Studio 8 Capture Preview

I've just purchased a dv camera and Pinnacle Studio 8. There seems to be no sound through the pc speakers when on the capture preview window, only sound from the camera when playing. Is this normal for PS8?

Incidently I have Premier 6.5 as well and I get sound in the preview capture window.

I've searched Pinnacle web site and there's nothing in the manual.

its a strange quirk of the program, you will not get sound while captureing dv, only on playback. you can capture using Premiere and then edit the captured DV using Studio 8 OK. Dont forget to check the web site for updates . should be version 8.5 now

I have to say that I don't remember if I have sound from PC during capture or not but during editing sound is there. As soon as sound is comining from camcorder, I don't realy care... But I will test it later just to confirm how it works.
