Hi,
I made a SVCD with still images. Almost everything went well, even interactivity with menu, but my DVD player (Pioneer DV-454) reproduces distorted images. A circle becomes an ellipse horizontally streched, because vertical size is reduced and I have 2 black strips on the upper and on the lower sides of the image.![]()
Changing the DVD player settings is useless.
This happens with each one of the forth resizing methods.
If the svcd is played by a PC player (PowerDVD) the images are right (without any distortion).![]()
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
Paolo

I have a solution which work also for me (I have the same problem with SVCD but not with VCD).
You must set your DVD in 16/9 (wide) and when you have started playing your Disc change you TV to 4:3 mode and then your pictures will have the right size. This solution work on a 4:3 Tv and I don't know if it works on a 16:9 TV.

hmm.... interesting. I'm going to try that TV switching aspect ratio. As far as I know, SVCD still image creation made by VCDEasy v1.1.5 and v1.1.4 gives distorted image. I'm assuming the same happens for VCD still as well. I haven't tried that yet, however. The only version that works is v1.1.2, and has never failed me. So I'm keeping 2 versions.
