  1. Hi,
I made a SVCD with still images. Almost everything went well, even interactivity with menu, but my DVD player (Pioneer DV-454) reproduces distorted images. A circle becomes an ellipse horizontally streched, because vertical size is reduced and I have 2 black strips on the upper and on the lower sides of the image.
Changing the DVD player settings is useless.
This happens with each one of the forth resizing methods.
If the svcd is played by a PC player (PowerDVD) the images are right (without any distortion).
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks
    Paolo

  2. I have a solution which work also for me (I have the same problem with SVCD but not with VCD).

You must set your DVD in 16/9 (wide) and when you have started playing your Disc change you TV to 4:3 mode and then your pictures will have the right size. This solution work on a 4:3 Tv and I don't know if it works on a 16:9 TV.

hmm.... interesting. I'm going to try that TV switching aspect ratio. As far as I know, SVCD still image creation made by VCDEasy v1.1.5 and v1.1.4 gives distorted image. I'm assuming the same happens for VCD still as well. I haven't tried that yet, however. The only version that works is v1.1.2, and has never failed me. So I'm keeping 2 versions.
