Using DVD Wkshop 1.3 I often author files out of the DVD spec. I use DVDPatcher to patch them to 352X480.

These files always have consistant frame sizes and bit rates, so patching them back afterwords is not a problem.

Now I want to use files of different frame sizes and bit rates. I've read that these must end up in seperate VTS files so they can later be patched back. Is this correct??

And if so, is there a way to get WS to do this??? Thanks.

Since I haven't gotten any replies, I'll assume this has been answered b4.
Guess I'll have to look harder!

I don't believe WS will do what you want. You need to check out this product:
    SVCD2DVDMPG+

    http://www.alternativemallorca.com/SVCD2DVDMPG/Software/svcd2dvdmpg+.aspx

Single or multiple title sets (VTSs). Most (all I've seen) authoring applications produce either single or multiple VTSs. SVCD2DVDMPG+ does both! With single VTS outputs you can't mix content (VCD/SVCD/PAL/NTSC). With multiple VTS outputs you can but even DVD Maestro won't let you mix PAL & NTSC. SVCD2DVDMPG+ will. Having multiple VTSs in SVCD2DVDMPG+ allows you to have movies which have different standards (PAL/NTSC), different bitrates (not all SVCD are made with the same bitrate....) and SVCD & VCDs all on the same DVDR.

I saw that. I was hoping there would be a program that would do it and allow menus, which I don't think SVCD2DVDMPG+ does.

Guess I should have said that in the first place.

    Thanks.

This looks like a GREAT product but I agree with the need for menus. No one has posted a work around for the menu issue yet.

I am also waiting to test some new software (or a precomplied VTS) that hopefully will fully support my Pioneer standalone DVD player. The Pioneer has a problem displaying the full screen on the horiziontal axis. It does 2/3 for an SVCD that has been converted to DVD.
