  1. worked fine for last couple of weeks,now if have to reencode it reboots,when figuring out how much compression

    It;s probably not the software at all. I believe you may have other issues, such as hardware problems. I also initially had problems when using DVD Shrink.

    If you have an AMD chip, it may be running hot. That will cause your PC to reboot. If so, try cooling it down by removing the side panel and aiming a fan directly at the chip. Not a permanent solution, but just to find out if it's getting hot. Long term cure would be to add fans or reseat your CPU with better thermal paste.

    If you have a Pentium, it would more likely be a problem such as a poorly seated or bad memory module.

    There are other reasons that your PC may be shutting down, but the suggestions above are easy to try and may help you out.
