Pesky file won't post process

Can anyone decipher these errors?

And do those ++WARN: really mean anything?

As it says, the audio file seem to have a problem. Try to name it .wav to see if ffmpegX can reconvert it to a valid mp2 file.

And do those ++WARN: really mean anything?

The warnings can be ignored.

Why is it that when I demux the mpg file it gives me a m2v and a mp2 file?

)just renaming the mp2 file to wav did not seem to make a difference. Now trying to extract a wav from the mpg movie.

Does ffmpegx actually know what format the sound is in or does it assume mp2?

I also assume that ffmpegx is mostly intended as a tool to re-encode DVDs, at that's what most of the settings seem to reflect. Or is that just my uneducated opinion?

I'm mostly trying to take home movies (from either iMovie or FCP) and shove them onto Cds (preferably XVCD). Is there a better program or do I just need to learn ffmpegx better?

That's what a mpeg file is made of.

No, it's a general purpose encoder.

You just have to select a preset and hit encode. Try CVD which gives good results with home movies.

Sorry for the newbe questions, just a little frustrated until I learn more about this stuff.

The funny questions about the audio were based on the statement that you said to just rename the mp2 file as wav, and try to run it through ffmpegx. I think this threw me. But mostly because I don't yet understand the relationship between wav and mp2 (Off Googling I go...)
