Are these 9.4gb discs that are "double sided" same as regular DVD's?
or can you just record data on both physical sides? Flip it over and continue to play?
My guess is they wouldn't sell dvd's like that..but just wondering, i've seen them around.

Double sided sound exactly as they are. You will have to flip.
Most commercial DVDs are dual-layered. There are no dual-layered media.

Hi,
Because it's a so called flip-disk, you can't just copy a DVD-9 movie to this DVD-R. A DVD-9 conains 2 layers on 1 side, but it's 1 whole "partition" with the flip disk you would have to split a DVD-9 to 2 DVD-R's and record both side. thus flip the dics half way in the movie.
