ASPI DRIVER

In response to Garbled audio I been experiencing (using Ulead or MYDVD from SONIC), one recommendation (see below) I got is to update ASPI to the version 4.7. Not knowing much about any side effect (if any) of upgrading, does anyone have any experience or know anything about ASPI and how it may affect AUDIO quality?

Make sure that yoiur camera audio is also set to 48k/16 bit. Also, are you capturing into firewire or analog? Please include any driver/make/model number info. Some people have been able to solve this by updating their ASPI:

I had to install "ForceASPI" when I discoverd SmartRipper refused to run. I'm not sure it has anything to do with audio.
