  1. is it possible to use SF DVD Architect to author mpeg2 videos to a dvdr? i used (s)vcd2dvdmpg to convert the mpeg2 videos to compliant dvd but DVD Architect keeps wanting to re-compress the video. am i using the wrong settings in (s)vcd2dvdmpg. i am selecting mpeg2-->program streams, 720 resolution patch, and patch only first header.

Mmm - i tried all settings of patching - no good. Help says:

    Frame resolution: 720x480

    Aspect ratio: 4:3 or 16:9

    Frame rate: 29.97 fps

Maximum GOP (group of pictures): 36

    Maximum bit rate: 9.8 Mbps
so maybe the GOP constraint is causeing the issue. All others are correct.
