hi, what i am looking for is something that connects from my computer, and on it, are the three composite inputs and an S-VIDEO input. so then i could just plug in my dv camcorder and i could capture stuff from it. but all i'm finding are these capture cards... i really don'tunderstand.

If your camcorder is DV all you need is a FireWire card.. you don't need any capture card. Look for an iLink or an IEEE-1394 port on your camcorder and check if your comp already have FireWire port. Some FireWire cables, you're ready.
