  1. Hi everyone,

When using virtualdub or virtualdubmod, I have no YUYV option under format in virtualdubs. I only have UYVY, can anyone help?

I am using a ALL in Wonder Pro Radeon 7200

Yeah, I had the same problem. Is it the 64mb ddr VIVO card??? Are you Win2000???

If it is, then what worked for me was an uninstall of the Video drivers, and a carefull reinstall off of ATI's websited for updated capture and wdm drivers. If I can remember correctly, you have to install two separate ATI drivers together, without rebooting the machine. Read the instructions carefully. After that, I rebooted and voila, Vdub sees YUY2 .

If it doesn't work for you, don't get too upset. The colour depth isn't that noticeable, and the encoding didn't make a difference in quality. If you're gonna frameserve via Vdub to an encoder, you'll loose out in the RGB colour conversion anyways.

The Vdub help files state that your current colourspace is acceptable....

    Good luck.......

  3. Actually

I have the 32MB version of the AIW Radeon 7200
Can you tell me when I go to update for my card at ATI, do I select the AIW Radeon for XP or do I select the 7200 for XP? I know that they are using the catalyst files now, and yes I am using the 2k files right now. I want to make sure that I am able to use Vdub.

I had some good experiences with the Omega/Plutoniums 8166 but now when I try to load them, its a no go in Vdub. What drivers are you using right now, and what WDM files?

Can't tell you what drivers I'm using (at work right now), but the ATI's product, and/or download site should be more specific as to what card and what O.S you should download.

Ati isn't known for great support of updated drivers, so if you've got an XP update, I'd be cautious, especially if your's is an older card...There should be something for Win2000. Make sure that you've got directx 8.1 or higher, and install the WDM>VFW wrapper.....Oh, and uninstall everything that has to do with your current video card software. Do a search for aiw 7200 on this forum and send somebody a PM...

I've gotten good and friendly advice from many a people on this site..

I don't wanna se you're drivers screw things up for you. Back up your system.

    good luck....
