  1. I am after some advice regarding creating dvd photo albums. I have been doing a lot of research with different software packages. What I want to create is a dvd and/or vcd photo album with interactive menus. The main problem I have is that all of the software I have looked at creates dvd albums as a slideshow where once you have to select an album and let it plays through. I want to give the users the opportunity to manually scroll through the pictures at their own pace using the next buttons or select button on the remote.

I know this is possible as I have DVD movies with picture galleries on that behave in this way.

Any advice or software recommendations would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. I think it would get pretty BORED browsing through the photo's with the remote.

But i think you can do this with roxio winoncd

Maybe with videopack aswell, but i have not tried.

Also Ulead dvd picture show can do this maybe?

I like the Photodex pro show, but it has only a main menu no manual photo browsing i think. But it burns all your photo in *.jpg to the vcd disk so that you can browse the photo's later on pc.

Hope this helps good luck! 8)

ive been trying several methods and and i think some of them are the answers to your question.

    1) The best way to do a VCD photo album with hundred of pictures , interactive menues, and music on the background with high quality is with winoncd power edition 5.

    2) Second best way but with no music during the slide show is with VCDeasy, Just follow the instructions on this great site and you will have a great vcd with menues in no time.

    3) Just put your pictures under NERO vcd option, but no music at all.

    hope this helps

    I did it with DVDMaestro...

Created a simple DVD-menu template with 'back' and 'next' buttons and linked the buttons to the menu's...

    eg.
    Menu 1 = Picture 1
    Menu 2 = Picture 2
    Menu 3 = Picture 3
    Menu 4 = Picture 4
    Menu . = Picture .
    and so on...

In every menu I inserted a picture (cropped to best viewed size with Paint Shop Pro) and the 2 buttons (back and next).
So for example in Menu 3 I linked the 'back' button to Menu 2 and the 'next' button to Menu 4...
In Menu 4 'back' button linked to Menu 3 and 'next' button to Menu 5 and so on...

Let your creativity go on all the way....
