    Just purchased a Pioneer A05 burner and I have a few questions.

    I have a full tower case that has 4 ide hard drives and a HP 4200 CD-RW.

    I have the A05 mounted between two 40 gb hard drives. There is at least an inch between the top hard drives and the A05...Does the A05 give off excessive heat and should I try to relocate it ? I doubt if I can relocate both ide drives si is it preferable to have the top bay (one above A05) empty or the bottom bay (below A05)...

    Is there prefered media for this burner ? I just bought four packages of 4 Memorex DVD-R's ?

    Also should I use an ATA-33 (40 pin) or ATA-66/100 (80 pin) ide cable ?

    And should it be set to dma or pio mode ?

    I dunno what is ideal but I've been using the DVR-A05 every day since last x-mas, my 'set-up' :

    - top bay of my bigtower
    - ide33 cable
    - dma mode if available
    - princo and ritek 4speed media
