  1. Almost all my DVD Backups wont play on my Daughters PS2 , OUT OF ABOUT 20 ONLY TWO WILL PLAY I have used the same media disks for them all and then tried other brands still the same outcome.

This is the Version Information on her PS2:

    Console SCPH-30003
    Browser 1.20
    Cd Player 1.20
    Play Station Driver 1.10
    DVD Player 1.20E

Does it need updating if so are there any guides to doing this. I realize her Play Station is an early version can she upgrade it?

  5. its nothing to do with how you burn the dvd if some of the ones he's done work. I would say it'll be the laser in the playstation thats at fault, it may need replacing or it can be adjusted if you know what your doing.

Actually, I know for a fact that the method has EVERYTHING to do with it. If I backup DVDs in a certain way such as DVDDecryptor it will not work in my DVD player, but if i take a DVD compatible MPEG and author it, it works in my DVD player... Seems to me that those are two different methods that DO affect playability...
