  1. Hey,
    Come on and help me!

I have burnt my mp3 using nero, but strange thing happens that after compilation nero increased my mp3s considerably!!! so that i can burn only 18-20 mp3s on a CD-R of capacity 700 MB. I wonder while nero increased the size of the original mp3 instead of decreasing it. Somehow i got a recorded CD-R from my friends and to my extreme surprise i found that it contains 200 mp3 songs.

Pls. tell me also what technique i could implement so that i wouldn't waste too much CD-Rs.

    Ah! I WANT 200 MP3s IN A SINGLE CD-R

    Thank you.

    It's me,
    Strain.

  2. Are you trying to record as an audio disk? YOu don't want to do that - that will convert the mp3s back to wav, which is large.

Record a data disk - then you can record 700 MB of mp3 files. However, be aware that you can only play this CD-R in a computer, or an MP3 player that supports CD-R - it won't play in a standard audio player.

  3. it should be possible for you to get around 200 to 240 mp3s on a 80 minute cd,if the bitrate of each song is 128 kbps or 96kbps and lasting 3 minutes or less.

Burn the disk as Data, not Audio. An Audio disk like what you buy in a store, and is limited to (approximately) 80 minues of sound. A data disk is limited to 700 MB of MP3's.

Nero is converting the mp3's for you to make an audio Cd (that you selected). Common mistake, no big deal.
