    hey im thinking of getting a dvd burner. accually the pioneer 105/a05 or what ever. but i was woundering before i go out and buy this will there ever be a dvd-9 burner. or is that for factories only.

    dvd-9 is not burned, it is two dvd-5 layers "pressed"

    so i guess the short answer is "no"
