I checked the two copies box hoping that after IC had read the info before writing I could then write two copies one after the other. (The kids have DVD players in their bedrooms!) I was prompted to insert second disk but it started all over again. Can you make two copies without this time wasting procedure?

  2. How about copying the DVD to hard driver rather than DVD drive?
If you do that, you will end up with several files of pdi, etc. files. Then you can convert this to iso or dvd files (vob) using PDITool which can be found somewhere in this forum.

Once you have an iso file, you can write this using either Nero or any other burning programs to DVD as many times as you want.

  3. I think the best/easiest thing to do is to just make one copy, then use DVD Decrypter to make all future copies. In DVD Decrypter choose "mode | iso read" and 'rip' an image file of the disc to you HD. Then choose "mode | iso write" to write the image file to a new DVDR.

The other option is have have IC output to HD, then burn each disc from the PDI files.

I am not sure about the multi copy option but I am pretty sure that you can write the final result to your hard drive and then burn as many copies as you want without the whole process having to be done all over again.

Greetings, I do not burn with IC7 not that it is a bad thing by any means. I just like to make a file so I can check before burning, and use RNM for multiple burns in ISO. You can use PDITool and make either a ISO or extract to VIDEO+AUDIO_TS folders and burn as many as needed with whatever app you like, I like Record Now Max in ISO MODE. I know this is not what you ask but an alternative option you may want to try [or not?].

Since the encrpytion is gone, any program capable of DVD disk copy will work. I just use the RecordNow software that came with my DRU-500 to make a copy of an Instant Copy disk. It doesn't take long at all.
