  1. How do you get 2 channel stereo sound from a source track thats 5.1 DD? For instance, like on DVD's the sound is 5.1, or ac3 xvid/divx are 5.1 channels. I don't have a 5.1 stereo stystem at my home. I just have a regular TV. How do I go about getting that 5.1 sound re-routed for 2.0 sound instead? This way, I'll get more power in the sound and a clearer dialogue.

  2. what are you converting to, DVD, SVCd or VCD. I've heard that SVCd supports DD5.1 (.ac3). you'd have to demux your avi audio. rename it to .ac3 and multiples that with your final mpeg video.

  3. nah I'm not converting. I'm just playing the original files whether it be SVCD or divx/xvid. I was asking if there were any media players or codecs that took the 5.1 sound and fitted it in a 2.0 sound
