  1. FYI: CompUSA has a sale going for TDK media so you get five 4x TDK DVD+R for $19.99 less $8 instant rebate for a price out the door of $11.99. You may also get a 4 pack of 2.4x TDK DVD+R for $8.99. If you have a CompUSA near you this could be a good time to pick up some media.

  2. Have anyone checked the manufacturer ID (with DVDInfo) on the TDK 4x DVD+R media?
I would like to know if they are produced by TDK or by someone else.

  4. Check here (the media code/mfr ID). You need to use an already burned DVD (a blank disc doesn't work).

Hmm I just noticed the program I have is ADVDinfo so what do I select on that to get the info and does it work on a blank disc?

I was going to burn a disc tonight but I wanted to try out DVDX Copy Express and I have been waiting on the phone for thirty minutes with them trying to get the stupid program activated.

  6. No ADVDInfo does not work on a blank disc either, but it's ok I can wait In ADVDInfo you use the "00 - Physical format information" command.

  7. This media works well on my Sony DRU500ax at 4x. I did a 4.441GB file and it took 15 mins for the burn. Also I ran the disc info program and here is what it said FYI.

I picked up three five packs today. They had ample amounts of 4x DVD+Rs at my local compusa. They work great on my TDK indidvd burner.
