    djrumpy,
I just went and bought the cce basic program and so far am VERY pleased. However, the only problem is that I have to feed it either an avs script or an avi file.
I use dvd2avi to create my d2v files, which i used to feed into tmpgenc and now cce basic. the basic avs script i used came from fitcd a very simple two line scritp that works just fine. but as usual, i am outgrowing that simplistic script.
I have several dvd rips that I want to resize into full screen from 16:9 format, but cannot seem to find the right settings to make that happen. In tmpgenc is was very straight forward and am assuming it is the same with avs scripts but..... just cannot seem to land on the right settings.

    can either help?

Please do not hijacks topics, if you want to discuss something else create a new topic. Thank you.

Calculate how to resize with FitCD. Open the *.d2v in TMPGEnc, open the clip frame filter dialog. Clip the borders just to figure out the exact framesize. The frame must have a mod2 width. Write down all values.

Open the *.d2v in FitCD. Change the "film pixel" to the exact framesize (without borders). Select the destination format, uncheck "anamorphic". Choose 1 or 2 macroblocks overscan (depends on your TV), and macroblock aligned borders. Play with the crop mode to get the best values.

FitCD calculates the new framesize and generates a sample script. Done.
