ok, in DVDSHRINK WHY?!?!?! when i chose to encode at a rate of 12% does it say something like 25% when it is actually encoding?
is it really compressing it 16% or 26%?
i dont get it.

I too have the same problem. However, a friend of mine who also uses DVDShrink has a theory. If you take the sum of all the material that has been removed ie: extra sound tracks, foreign languages, etc. and use that percentage as well as the level that you have chosen to reduce the remaining material, you get about the same overall percentage that DVDShrink claims to be reencoding at. Do the math for yourselves. Works for me!
