  1. I need to find a DVD-Rom that will rip DVDs quickly. I'm gonna have alot of very rare promo DVDs of music videos that I'm allowed to copy, but my time with them is very short. They are all real factory made DVDs, I dont think they have any CSS or anything, but not totally sure just yet.

I look forward to everyone's suggestion, but I also need to know your suggesting a drive that I will be able to find online or in a store.

    Thanks for any help!!!!

  4. Based on previous discussion on this topic in this forum I just purchased a LiteOn 166s, and couldn't be more pleased. Finding it for $39 delivered made it a no-brainer.

Thanks Bob W...I bought the 166 based primarily on your recommendation.

Your welcome. BTW you got a better deal that I did. I think I paid $70 for my LTD166s which I bought on-line a few months ago. The LTD163 I have I bought local from a retail store a year ago and it was just luck in that it was a re-branded drive on sale at CompUSA and I got it for around $20 after mail-in rebates.
