I always have problems with downloaded XVID movies. Based on the theory **&^& in and **&^% o0ut can XVID movies be repaired or converted to DIVX movies which seem easier to handle.
I have an excellent quality movie in XVID apart from one or two bad frames and no matter what i try, even deleting the bad frames it doesn't work. Even Vdub antifreeze crashes when faced with the frame error and TMPGENC goes green and freezes the frame but continues to convert.
Would really appreciate some advice on handling XVID movies![]()

Not when i wrote this post but it was suggested later in a different post and it worked. Don't know what the 4cc flags are, wouldn't mind an explaination .
Only issue now is the audio synch. It doesn't seem like a normal synch problem, it is in synch then not and then it corrects itself and then drifts out again. Its as if it is making compensations in the video as every so often there is a slight pause in the film, only very briefly to try and keep it in track but it makes it impossible to bring back in line with cinemacraft or Goldwave. again thanks
