Hello. I'm happy new owner of The Canopus ADVC 100. I got it to day, so I just lab with it. Earlier I copy my movie from my Sony HandyCam over to VHS. In the manual to the camera, they recomand that i should set the camera in Edit mode before copy to VHS: Should I do the same when capture via Canopus ADVC 100? Or should i just stat my hanycam i play ?
I have connect both my handycam and my DVD player (external) to my TV, and can see that the DVD copy are lighter and the colour are not the same. For example water looks more white on DVD, and nice blue from my handycam. There are also harder so see contrasts on very light obecjts (example people in or under water), because all are lighter. From my handycam everything looks exact as it should.
