    What format does a movie file have to be in to be written and played on dvd?

    Also how do i convert .avi, .mpg, .mpeg etc.. to this format?

    i can't find what format it must be!?

    but i did find out how to convert.

  4. DVD format is MPEG-2 for video and Dolby Digital or PCM for audio. You can also use MPEG-1 for video but resolution (and so quality) is very low. There are also other audio formats allowed, like DTS or MPEG audio.

  5. Use the program from the tools menu called Gspot. Record what codecs are used and then utilise one of the hundres of guides that are avaliable on this site.
