  1. Is there a cheap PCI card or USB device I can use to export my video files to a stand alone VHS player? I currently have a Firewire card and USB 2.0 card. I use Firewire to capture DV from my Sony Handycam. Im looking for something that I can connect to my VCR input by composite video (RCA type). My kids destroy the VCD's and DVD's I make for them. They can't ruin the VHS tapes as easily.

Grab a Video card with 'TV-Out' (composite video out socket).

Or, continue with your VCD/DVD and tape onto VHS from VCD/DVD

  3. Is there a TV card with the composite in/out jacks that is NOT a Grahics card also? The Nvidia 64 graphic card I have is fine and I don't want spend big $$$ for a new graphics card if not nessasary. Do I need computing power on a Card or can I just use a simple USB in/out connection (like Dazzle DVC80, AverTV...)? If I had a TV out card would Ulead Moviefactory2 and/or VideoStudeo7 recognize it for import or export? The Dazzle DVC100 (USB) has seperate composite in/out jacks but my experience with Dazzle will keep me from buying it, anyway its $149!!!

  4. Can't you just copy your VCDs from your standalone DVD Player to your standalone VHS recorder. It free if you own them.

    Or
You will need to buy an AGP graphics card (ATI Radeon card) with video out.

Check around for a VGA to TV converter. It takes the output of your video card and converts it to composite or S-Video for input to your TV. Kworld makes one, it's about $50, check Ebay.com
