Hey everyone..here is a tough one, I think. I used DVD decrypter to read in an entire DVD in File mode, I selected everything. When I use nero to burn those files directly to a dvd-rw, it plays fine in my APEX. But if I do a copy of that dvd-rw or burn a fresh dvd-r with those same files, it wont play in my apex standalone. I have tried running the files through DVD2one, and instant copy, same results when burnt to a dvd-r. I have burnt many dvd-r and every one works perfect in the apex. I even read the dvd-rw that works in the player into dvd decrypter in iso mode, then burned it to a dvd-r, at both 1x and 2x, no difference, it wont work. Works great on that dvd-rw though. I do have some experience and I have tried to rule out the obvious stuff...
thanx

Not so difficult to figure out IMO. You already know the files are good since they work when burned to DVD-RW. I would also make sure the files play good on the hard drive using PowerDVD or WinDVD. So take one of the DVD-R discs that didn't play on the Apex to a store that sells DVD players and see if it will play on other players. If not then it's either bad media or the burning program so either try a different brand of media or play with the DVD settings in Nero or both to figure that out. Better yet burn with RecordNow which works just fine with the default install DVD settings. If the DVD plays on the store DVD players then it's obvious that your Apex player has a problem with DVD-R media but maybe not DVD-RW.

Thank you for your reply...I tried dvd decrypter in iso mode, nero, and recordnow already. I have burned approx 125 movies with nero, they all play perfectly on my apex, using accu, and ritek dvd-r's. The files play fine on the hard drive with powerDVD. It is just this particular movie. I have also burned using instant copy with their built in burner and all have worked flawlessly, but not this particular movie, only on the dvd-rw that i made the first time..thanx

It has Wizards to create a data disk and music disk, but I can't find a simple setting or menu option that allows me to make a playable DVD out of an already created DVD image made with any one of my authoring programs. I don't mean to be stupid here -- do I just use the data disk option and drag all the DVD files into that? (The audio and video directories) Any guidance would be appreciated.
