  1. Hi there !
I have made som .MPG to ordinary CD with Nero and the SVCD plugin no problem here,
IE. I have 2 .MPG at around 800Mb and I burn them out to 2. CD ,

but now I would like to burn them to a DVD instead but when I use ie. Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 the size of the .mpg is increasing to more than 2x, so the two 800 Mb .mpg canīt be on a 4,7Gb DVD

My question is now - is it possible to take more than one .mpg an burn them to a dvd like in Nero with the SVCD plugin to a DVD and how ??

  2. Nero cant do it you need Nero Vision Express..You load up your mpegs or avis and nero converts and burns em to a DVD. You can also make a simple menu n change fonts n stuff. It works ok but is slow.

First thing is your mpegs must be DVD compliant. That is they must match the various criteria specified here: https://www.videohelp.com/dvd

If the do not, MF2 will re-encode. I don't use MF" myself so I don't know how much control you have over its encoding parameters. I can tell you that unless you specify otherwise it will convert the audio to uncompressed PCM. This takes up loads of space and is most likley the reason the files ahve grown so much in size. I suggest you do a bit of reading on the various type of mpeg required for different standards.

If your originals are SVCD spec, I have seen mention of a tool that simplifies putting them onto DVD. I can't remember what it was called right now but if you search the forum for SVCD to DVD or something similiar I am sure you will find a link to it.

    Hope this helps.
