sony dvd dru500ax SVCD program???

are there ANY svcd burning programs that will work with the sony dru500ax?

I was able to get VCDeasy to do 'test' on an mpeg file, but it will NOT recognize any of the drivers for this to burn .

I also tried cdrwin5 & for some reason I can't get the thing to work, it locks up on 'drag' file to box, I then tried the 'quicktool' box, but it still will not recognize the sony recorder..

then I tried NERO,, nope, no luck there either!

(all I want to do is burn a tv show, in a mpg2 file to a cd ...svcd,, right?)

I also have another cd burner mitsumi cr-2600te
but the programs don't like it either! nero, did recognize it,, BUT kept locking up on the 'check medium' kept telling me there was no recordable cd in it.

can you burn DVD with nero not just SVCD's?. You can try VOB InstantCD DVD. I had the DRU500AX had nothing but problem's I now use Pioneer no problem's

I can use Nero but you have to download the latest update from their website in order to recognise the DVD writer.

I use Winoncd 5 PE, I've had no problems burning to my sony dru-500ax. the application will encode to mpeg1 but not mpeg2 so you will have to enocde with something else before burning.

so far this application has worked for me under winxp, 2000 and 98, even recognized my old 8x burner and a usb external burner.
