  1. When DVD2ONE creates the files they play perfectly on the computer HOWEVER when I burn to DVD the last few chapters do not play either on my computer or stand-alone. I have an A05 and never had problems copying disk to disk. It works great until about 75 percent through the film. Then says that the disk needs cleaning and freezes. I have tried 3 'quality' brands and 3 different burn speeds but it makes no difference whatsoever.

    Does anyone have any suggestions??

    Cheers

  2. I bought three packs of five each verbatim DVD+R from BestBuy and they all did that. Turns out after close inspection of the media I could see bubbles and voids in the dye near the outer edge of the disc. What I did after that was to just use this media only for burns under 3.9GB where they worked fine. In fact I used one of the last three of these discs tonight to burn a 3GB video. Just a thought that you could be having the same problem.

Bad burn. Using a cheap disc?
Reburn again. Use better media, be sure the drive is still okay.

  4. Thanks for your prompt replies. I am using only quality media - all Datasafe/Datawrite. Have tried 3 different batches and always the same result. I am thinking that there may be a problem with my drive. Does anyone know how I can prove that there is a fault with my A05?

    Thanks

had exactly same problem using many different media and cured it by using user defined set at 4100mb in dvd2one which leaves a tiny amount of disc unused, now plays perfectly, also use this method if a dvd5 is using full amount of disc,
the quality not quantity part of this forum might say i'm losing valuable quality with the final movie but honestly you can not tell any difference and it works everytime even with very cheap media

If you cannot write to the full extent of the disc, either the media is bad (most likely) or the drive has problems.

Having to shorten is a sure sign of one of these errors. To avoid this problem, try to keep you movie below the 3.9 GB barrier on the disc. The error normally occurs after 4.0 GM on the DVD. Especially noticeable in cheaper media.

Also, you may have a bad batch of discs. It happens. Those are Verbatims, correct? The Datasafe? (I don't have a +R drive, and I only use Apple, Maxell and Princo in my -R drives).
