  1. I've been using TmpgEnc to edit my files and when I'm done editing I export it. It takes about 5 minutes to export a 20 minute video in Mpeg1 format. However I'd like to use premiere 6.0 cause it's more precise, but when I try to export it, it takes like 8 hours to export? Is there any way around this? I load the file into both programs in mpeg1 and the file that i get back in both are mpeg1 as well. Any suggestions? Thx

  2. What happens is that there is no reencoding after "editing" in TMPGEnc. However, Premiere will reencode your material.

Premiere is not an MPEG editor.

You may want to use a "real" MPEG editor. Look around on the left (OTHER / Tools).
