I am having a problem with a new Sony DRU500ULX not writing DVD video to -R or -RW disks. It will write DVD videos to +rw, and it will write data to both the -rw and +rw disks, but when I go to write a video DVD, it errors out before it even gets started.
I have used both the MyDVD software that came with it and Nero, both to no avail. The reason I bought this DVD writer was to create DVDs that I could play in a home DVD player, and most of them want a -r DVD.
I don't know if others are having this problem, or if there is a special trick to it or to just return the drive.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Yoyo
