  1. what I need to do is to make a simple DVD, without any menus/title screens, nothing. I have 4 mpeg files and I want them to play one after another. very simple? nope!
I tried it with Ulead DVD workshop 1.3 and also moviefactory 2 but in both cases, when playing the final result using PowerDVD, the movie started, played the first file and then stopped! I could not make it to play the next 3 files at all though I expected it to play them automatically one after another. What's the secret to make Ulead programs do it? Obviously I can merge the four files but it's really silly because it should be able to do it without needing me to do that....

  2. I am not aware of any consumer level DVD authoring apps that allow you to do this. I know Maestro and ReelDVD do let you do this. I agree that it should be simple enough to add this feature but the developers don seem to think that average home users want it.

So, either obtain and learn how to use one of the all powerful but complex proffessional level apps, or merge all your files into one big mpeg.

  3. Very easy and simple with NeoDVD Plus just import the files click "start with first file" and click on "go to next clip after last" then click on make DVD and either point to a folder or burn directly.

BTW there should be an option in MF2 to go on to the next clip so look for it.

  4. Yes, i am pretty sure that there will be an option for this in UMF, although there are some programs that won't let you do this (SPRUCEUP).

Best place to look is in the Movie properties, if there is something like that available. You want to set the end movie property to play the next file in your sequence.
