Waiting for Decrypter to be ready
    ERROR! Unable to patch decrypter!
    Done ripping ...
    Decrypter ripping time: 00:00:04
The rip seems to have been aborted, RipIt4Me cannot continue
    Done at 16:53:10
    Elapsed time: 00:02:37

    What does that mean?

  2. it's currently a problematic disc. Wait a day or two. DVDFab Decrypter usually comes up with the solution.

I finally back up my Saw 3: I have the same problem with dvd fab and anydvd with clonedvd2. So I read some forums and RIPIT4ME and FIXVTS finally broke the barrier. Ripit4me and fixvts is a zip file. So unzip in desktop. Make you have DVDSHRINK and DVD DECRYPTER. You need these programs. Download 1.) Ripit4me 1.6.4.0 2.)FixVTS 3.) DVD Shrink 4.) DVD Decrypter Next, Install Dvd Shrink and Dvd Decrypter. -skip- if already have them installed. Next, open ripit4me on your desktop and go to LOGS/Setting in the menu bar. Go to preferences and look for Paths to Progams. Once your there, make you have Dvd decrypter first, then dvd shrink second and last click Path to FixVTS: Once you click on it you should a window pop up. Find FixVTS on you desktop and click it twice. Press Ok, 1-Click Mode and if you need help go to http://www.ripit4me.org/guide.html

Done importing the PSL file, now starting ripping...

**I will take a while on the first gig file. It should put dummy sectors slowly, once it is done, it should pick up. When it about to finish, a patch file will come up. press ok and it should automatically go to dvd shrink and your done!

Waiting for Decrypter to be ready
Done importing the PSL file, now starting ripping...

**I will take a while on the first gig file. It should put dummy sectors slowly, once it is done, it should pick up. When it about to finish, a patch file will come up. press ok and it should automatically go to dvd shrink and your done!
CONFIRMED. This approach does work, copied full back up in 28m33s with my "muscle car" P4. But, C'MON DFAB and ANYD, get the updates so we don't have to use three different programs (none of which are yours). ??? Ironic how we fall back on ol'Decrypter. You don't need DShrink once you have it on your hard drive, do what you want once it's there. It seems to stall quite a bit with on the first big VOB file, but, after that it's like a knife through hot butter.
What's the deal with the new DRM on DVDs anyway? Is Lion'sgate owned by SONY or something? Speaking of Lion'sgate......Hostel II on June 8 baby......................

After a couple of hours of trying all the methods mentioned and nothing working I was finally able to get this to work using a Beta version of AnyDVD (v6.1.1.0).

I used this beta of AnyDVD version in conjunction with CloneDVD, it worked perfectly.

If anyone is interested in trying this, below are some links to the Beta version (it's a 21 day free trial).

I don't believe this is warez, since it's is still a trial version like they offer on their website.

There's a R1 version out there with the DVD Volume Label of Saw_3_Unrated that still seems to be causing problems.

Newbies should read and not be seen.

  22. The method coltsfannm posted worked like a charm for me. I have the Saw 3 unrated version -- the DVD Volume Label of Saw_3_Unrated Grain was talking about.

When Decrypter was 99% done I got all kinds of pop-up error messages. I have no idea what they meant. I just kept hitting "OK" until they were gone. Then Shrink opened up and I re-authored creating a file with only the movie. No menus or features or any of that crap. Doing that I got about an 89% compression rate. That's plenty good enough for me. As long as I get above 60% I'm happy.

As long as you follow those directions exactly (and make sure you have the specified versions of the software) you shouldn't have a problem.

All these 'SAW 3' posts might as well be in the same forum since they appear to be DVD to DVDR. Moving you.

How did you only get it to 89% ?
I just did mine and with only the 5.1 audio track i got it at 97%, unrated WS version.

  25. Noah, I don't recall. Maybe there was a 2 channel audio option I left on? Also, while they don't take up a huge amount of space, I always leave the subtitles on.

I'm not sure man. Now I am wondering myself.

  26. I managed to back it up using the non beta Anydvd and DVDFab 2.9.8.3. When you start DVDfab click on main movie and then uncheck all the extra languages. Easy as pie. No menu.......but simple back up.

Yeah, i alway's leave the sub's on also for that same reason.

& RipIt4Me did it as easy as pie, no muss no fuss, 1-click mode.
