  1. I have read about media builder and have tried it,so far unsuccessfully.It seemed like it was going to start working when I finaly got divxmux.exe in there but it gos to a dos screen then exits
    This will be for a standalone dvd player that is divx ultra certified
    could someone please send me in the right direction maybe some links?

    I think the menus with only work with the newest Divx 6 codec, not with Xvids. I assume you have one of the few newer players that can use the Divx 6 menu options? You have probably seen the Media Builder homepage: http://userxp.tripod.com/mb.htm Not a lot on other forums about the tool.

    It looks like a lot of this is in the beta stage.

  3. ok lets say that I am doing them all as divx
    I have tried mediabuilder and cannot get it to work
    when I put create file it goes for a second to a dos window then stops

    I'm pretty sure those DivX tools only let you put a menu PER FILE. This would let you simulate DVD-style language/chapter selection (I think?), but it sounds like you're trying to put a menu on the whole DISK...most DivX compatible players just give a plain filename list and nothing more.

  5. ok I've got some divx files that were encoded all the same way,what your saying is that they have to be joined and then I can use a menu?
    Ok so how would I go about creating a menu assuming I have them all joined into one avi?
