    How do I get back to the initial settings that come up right after loading IE 7? To be speficic, clear type. I can change it on the desktop, but that doesn't change it in IE.

    right click on the icon select properties and in one of the tabs there is supposed to be a button to restore ie7 to original settings. don't currently have it installed so i can't verify.

    Tools, internet options, advanced tab, look under Multimedia. It's the first setting.
