    I was wondering if anyone can recommend a standalone DVD player that is capable of decoding and playing HD-DivX/XviD files in either 1080i or 720p. I currently have an OPPO DV-970HD that does a great job of playing standard definition DivX/XviD files while upconverting them to 1080i or 720p but it is incapable of playing HD files (it only plays the audio from the file with no picture. Your recommendations would be appreciated!

    I would recomend the following upscaling DVD player:

    It can upscale DVDs to 1080i & 1080p plus play Divx and Xvid files
